Ion: The existence of alun-alun Simpang Tujuh Kudus city is represent one of the one public space in Kudus district. Growth And plaza evolution with its location is strategic, high accessibility and its function as CBD, making high appeal so that improve the amount of activity performance in Kudus downtown area. This Matter affect growing of informal sector ( PKL) that found in Kudus Town plaza angle corner.The existence of Activity PKL can support the public space function as room that accommodate social activity of society but on the other side, PKL activity also generate various problems because occupying inappropriate location.It will lessen the freshment and consumer security walk.From background and identification formula of its problem can be pulled by a study question " how the public assessment against PKL existence in alun-alun Simpang Tujuh?" On that account this research aim to to know thepublic assesstmen to PKL existence Simpang Tujuh Kudus.The analysis that used to reach the the target is evaluation of existence PKL based on urban spatial , identify the public assessment to existence PKL, and analyse the reason of result public assessment to existence PKL. Based on study finding and result of analysis, can conclude thah existence of activity alun-alun become the supporter to visitor activity but on the other side, existence of activity PKL which is not arranged around alun-alun generate various problems like traffic jam, generating dirty, and lessen the pedestrian freshment. Therefore need an activity regulation to regulate the settlement of PKL activity so that more orderly and support the function of alun-alun area as a public space in holy downtown.
